Make sure you have read both out saftey instructions safety instructions and basic candle making instructions before you do any of these projects.

Painting candles with our candle paints is a great way to make really economical wedding votive candles. You can buy the votives on our bulk discount section for only £9.60 for a bag of 24 (40p each) and put them in an organza bag which we will shortly be selling for around 50p! You can either buy our pack of 14 paints (which includes clear varnish) at Applique Sheets Varnish & Paint or buy a whole bottle of gold paint from the same page.

You will need.

Taking a mall paint brush with your brush quite full make two dots   of gold pant in a pattern on about one third of the candle. Then take your bursh and drag the blobs of paint down so to make the point shape of the heart. (the bottom two hearts in the picture below).

Continue around the candle until it is all covered with hearts. . You have now finished the candle! You can set the paint by painting over with clear varnish - but this is a matter of preference and it does not matter if you wish to skip this step. You have now made your own wedding favour!
