Make sure you have read both out safety instructions safety instructions and basic candle making instructions before you do any of these projects.

A wonderful design both for weddings or for Christmas. You can either make the balls yourself and use our metallic powder to colour it gold (CLICK HERE to see the product))or buy ready made gold balls. This tutorial shows what can be achieved when you add microcrystalline wax. Or just try them using white with cream - or white with white!

You will need:-

A gold ball candle 125gms paraffin wax 50gms of microcrystalline soft A tiny bit of ivory dye Baking tray Washing up liquid A round object (we used a sundae glass) to act as a template

Prepare the baking tray by smearing it with a small amount of washing up liquid - to stop the wax from sticking.

Weigh out your wax for the ivory wax casing. Add microcrystalline soft and dye.

Heat the wax mixture to 80c. Be careful to use just a tiny amount of ivory dye. Remember that when adding dye you can always make it darkier - but it will take a huge amount of wax to make it lighter!.

Pour a ladell of the melted wax mixture into the tray.It should spread out to a thickness of about 2mm. You can move the tray about to encourage it!
