| Candle Sand is another way of making candles without having to heat up the wax!! You can use the containers over and over again. It is very economical and very quick. This project shows how you can transform a some glass into a stunning candle! Another idea that could be ideal for weddings!!
You
will need -some gold foil
stars, gold ribbon, a bag of our wax
& stearin mix (ie white candle sand!)
some gold ribbon and a wick with sustainer.
Mix the foil stars in with the powdered wax in a kitchen jar or container.
Pour a 2mm layer of the sand into the glass. Then place the wick and sustainer on top of that layer. Finally top up to within 1cm of the glass rim.
Now you can light your finished candle.
Use your imagination and use this method of making candles to creat mult wick candles - fill garden jars etc. etc. There really is no limit. Just ensure that the wick is away from the edge of the glass and that you do not put the sustainer right at the bottom of the container you are using. DO NOT use wooden bowls or any other flammable materials as your container. You can also use our 5 kilos bags of wax pellates instead of candle sand. Below is an example of a mult wick candle made with our powdered wax.
